On Friday, February 19th we hope to see you at Eco Fashion Forward for an evening of eco-fashion and music! The venue is the impressive promenade at the Vancouver Public Library.

So many of our favorite designers are going to be featured including Elroy, Dotted Loop, and Nixxi. Juno-nominee, Jill Barber will also be performing live! It’s a night of celebration and support so buy a ticket; it’s going to be a fun night. This event is the official fundraiser event in support of Vancouver Eco Fashion Week. A portion of proceeds are also going to the David Suzuki Foundation

new designer: julie apple

With this latest shipment it honestly feels like spring is just around the corner. Not that we’ve really had that much of a winter here in Vancouver. Some rain….and then more rain…but now the flowers are starting to peek out and I’ve heard rumors of cherry blossoms (already!).

Back to the shipment! We are very happy to be introducing a new bag line to body politic. Julie Apple has a great sustainability story so if you’d like to know more I’d definitely check out their website here and here too. This collection has me thinking of spring because of the great prints and the fact that I think the Zip It style would be the perfect travel tote.

Oh happy day! Today we received a shipment of yoga jeans. This is a new style they’ve added and they can’t keep up with demand. No surprises there.

Now in stock we have the black over dye wash. They are a high rise super skinny style. No worries of bunching or twisting when you tuck them into your boots.

It’s always nice when you stumble upon something that can’t help but make you smile. That’s what happened when I saw this post on the blog for C Star Events (Wedding & Event planning). You might be wondering what a blog of this sort  has to do with body politic? Let’s just say it comes down to great taste! event: ‘the main event’

The Main Event is in full swing in our neighbourhood.

Several restaurants along Main Street are offering three-course tasting menus for $25, $35, or $45. A percentage of sales will be donated to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank in an effort to join in the fight against hunger.

The event is on until January 24th so don’t let it pass by! Check out the website for a list of restaurants and their menu offerings. (Warning: everything sounds amazing)
